How much hard drive space does Map Scholar require? |
The game itself takes approximately 65 megs of hard drive space. If you choose to save a game, game files are saved to the hard drive. The larger the map is that is being saved, the more space there is that will be required, especially when most or many of the countries on the played map have been played and are shaded. In most cases, saved games are about 20 - 40 megs. The largest a saved game can possibly be is 200 megs. That would result from playing the entire globe and having already played almost all of the countries of the world. You can safely delete the contents of the savegame folder if you want to reclaim hard drive space, but you won't be able to resume that saved game if you do so. |
Are all the countries of the world included? |
All widely recognized sovereign states that are not disputed by the International Community are included in the game. Micronations are not included because they are too small to click on and thus make gameplay too difficult. As the world's political boundaries change, every effort to keep Map Scholar updated will be made. |
